Robyn's Success Story

Congratulations Robyn from Atlanta, GA for continued success on your 100 lb. weight loss goal. You are only Pounds and Inches away! Total weight loss to date 81 lbs and 72.5 inches! Way to go girl!

"My weight has always been up and down. I spent my childhood in a Tastee Freeze with soft serve ice cream at my fingertips. By the time I was 4, I could make an ice cream cone that looked better than the most experienced. The ice cream was the dessert that followed burgers, french fries, hot dogs and cokes. Mmmm good, but not so good for the waist-line. As a teenager I struggled somewhat with my weight, but managed to keep it under control. I gained and lost the freshman 15 a couple of times, then managed to stabilize during grad school at 5’9”, 160 lbs. I was thin andfelt great.

During my late 20s, I began packing on the pounds. I hated the way I looked, but in spite of all the programs I tried, I lost a little, then gained even more. Sometime in 2007, I’m embarrassed to say that I reached an all-time high of 287 pounds. I began an exercise program and changed my eating habits. I lost about 40 pounds, but soon gained most of that back.

In 2011, I was determined that it was time for me to lose the weight once and for all. After so many failed attempts, my hopes for success were not much more than that – hope, maybe wishful thinking. Sometime in early February a friend asked me if I’d ever heard of the hCG diet. I had (of course) and decided to do a little additional research. Since I’d tried almost everything else, I decided I didn’t really have anything to lose, except a hundred-plus pounds.

On February 19, I stepped on the scale and began my journey at 272 pounds. This is me when I started. I was amazed how fast the weight began to come off. My first round of hCG was going so well that I decided to do a full 40-day round. I lost about 30 pounds and the amazing part was that I was able to stabilize at that weight and not regain what I lost. On Easter weekend I began a second round. My clothes started looking like they belonged to someone else. And actually, they did, because a great friend who lives out of state shipped me 65 pounds of clothes that she hadoutgrown on hCG.

On my 47 birthday, I crossed the 200 pound barrier, a weight I had not seen since my early thirties. I chose to be on phase 2 of the diet on my birthday because I decided that I would rather spend my birthday losing instead of eating cake and ice cream and gaining. I still have a hard time saying “I weigh one-hundred something.” To be honest, I’m not sure that I really believed I could do this.

At the end of my last round, I weighed 185 pounds and fully expect to join the 100-pound weight loss club before the end of the year, then to get back down to 160 pounds early next year. What might be even more exciting than the pounds I’ve lost, is the number of inches that have disappeared from my body. The total number of inches I’ve lost from my neck, arms, bust, waist, abdomen, hips, thighs and knees is 72.5 inches, a little over 6 feet. It’s pretty safe to say, that I don’t look like the same person I did 10 months ago.

Not only do I feel and look better, my overall health has improved. My healthcare provider, whom I’ve seen for the past 7-8 years, was very impressed with the changes in my blood work, and has begun referring her patients toBestChoiceChanges.
